This way, you can call reinforcements immediately to replace those who've died.

  • Always try to keep a few honor points stashed away, in case you get ambushed.
  • If you're going to take the time to try and make a formation, put a couple of Vanguards in the front, then Hydras and Blazers, then Stalkers and Disc Masters.
  • There's virtually nothing that four or five of these guys can't handle. They may take two pop points, but when upgraded they're far more than twice as powerful as anybody else.
  • Once the battles get bigger, use the Hydra and Blazer.
  • One can often go through a whole level using this technique. He's able to fire at most enemies long before they see him, and the enemies typically just stand around as they're shot to death.
  • The Stalker is your best friend for scouting.
  • Furthermore, their stealth can be defeated pretty easily with simple vision upgrades when playing as humans or predators, and many of their units, the shrine in particular, are painfully slow. Their population limit is never much larger than a couple dozen, and when you add in the fact that the shrine itself counts as four pop points, you've got a pretty small team. Weaknesses: The Predators main weakness is in its numbers. Perhaps the most useful Predator attribute, though, is the ability to instantly send reinforcements, whereas the Humans and especially the Aliens have to wait for theirs. Add in stealth capability and the very powerful shrines and you've got a pretty tough team. Of course, they aren't slouches in range battles either, especially not the Stalker, who is the best sniping unit in the game.

Virtually all the units are good melee fighters. I hope this helps those wanting to get through the tide of Xenomorphs (to the more time consuming Marines and Predators).Strengths: Whereas the humans focus on range combat, the Predators like things better up close and personal. This helps keep an overall theme with slight tone changes to easily pick out different types of Aliens when playing. I'll be doing the same with a Green wash on the Warriors for a 4th Alien look. He also has some Nurgle Rot on his wounds for Acid Blood. The K-Series Infant (Alien Vs Predator Extinction) was Skeleton Bone base with a Yellow Glaze and Brown tone Ink wash. The Stalker went through the same process just Dark Brown base, Lighter Brown drybrush and a Brown tone Ink wash. The Royal Guard had Nuln Oil (Black Ink) Instead of Blue for the classic look. Here is an example of the same technique being used for Black, Brown and Yellow next to the Blue Infant. That's it you are done! These can be used as they are or you can add to them things like drool, victims blood on the Claws or even Acid Blood injury's to themselves. I also out some around the mouth and on any bits I wanted to have a slimy look to them. Now to complete the dome effect put a layer of Water effect (Gloss paint will also work) on the dome. I put Nuln Oil shade over this to keep the detail after. Once dry I picked out the teeth and claws in bright silver/chrome and the a 50/50 mix of Gun metal silver and medium was put over some of the pipe like bits on the infant. Now the messy bit cover the whole thing in Blue tone ink. I used a slightly lighter grey on the front of the dome to bring the detail out in the next phase.

I sprayed the Infants Matt Black then drybrush a grey that felt light enough to highlight the model but not to much. Very simply once the models where cleaned to take paint (a residue from what is used to pop them from the moulds can make it hard for paint to stick so give them a simple soak in warm soapy water).
